Magpie Locking
Personal Pool
A solo commitment pool — prove your magpie hands to yourself.
Each user creates their own commitment pool containing only themselves.
Creation Parameters
- Pick a token: select a platform-launched token directly, or enter a contract address for an external token
- Commitment type: time-based or price-based
- Penalty rate: custom (e.g. 20% means defaulting forfeits 20% of your locked tokens)
- Amount of tokens to lock
How Pools End
| Outcome | Result |
|---|---|
| Normal completion | Commitment met — reclaim all locked tokens |
| Early default | Contract automatically deducts the penalty; remaining tokens are returned |
Where Penalties Go
- If the token currently has a collective pool: 90% of the penalty flows into the collective pool's rewards, 10% to the platform
- If the token has no collective pool: 100% of the penalty goes to the platform
